Colors

The hue of magick;
a correspondence of much significance.

Most readily observed and discerned,
composing the Spectrum of light.

It directs and invigorates the magick,
charging through distinctive Vibration.

One of the more significant correspondences in magick is that of color. Being not only a visual aspect, as color is an aspect of light at different wavelengths, it is also indicative of the associated magickal intention.

Using colors in magick influences the overall energy of a spell. For this reason, it is important to choose colors that complement the intent since this can affect the success of the working.

Some colors can vary in shade (light to dark) or intensity (bright to muted). In many cases this is merely personal preference; liking the tone enhances the connection to it. However, it is also important to listen to intuition when selecting different shades or intensities.

Black
Darkness, emptiness, banishment, loss, the unknown

Blue
Health, patience, tranquility, understanding

Brown
Earth- or animal-related workings, hesitation, uncertainty

Gold
Attraction, business endeavors, confidence

Gray
Bindings, cancellation, invisibility, neutrality

Green
Abundance, fertility, growth, financial gain, luck

Orange
Adaptability, attraction, encouragement, stimulation

Pink
Friendship, honor, love, morality

Purple
Ambition, power, tension

Red
Courage, passion, lust, strength

Silver
Compassion, intuition, perception, reflection

White
Purity, sincerity, truth
