Cord of Intention

A Cord Spell

- - - - -

A simple cord is created to hold the intention of a spell meant for the future. It gives the energy in each knot time to soak up the intention so it is at its peak power when released.

Be mindful to choose cords and knots that can be untied, of sufficient length to accommodate all the knots.

Use a corresponding color to amplify the intention of the magick, otherwise white or black can be used.

Medallions may be attached to distinguish each end of the cord.

In Advance of the Event

1.

Tie each knot in the cord as the corresponding line is spoken,
keeping the intention of the cord firmly in mind.

--2---6---5---9---1---8---4---7---3--

By knot of one, the spell's begun.
By knot of two, it shall be true.
By knot of three, so mote it be.
By knot of four, let power soar.
By knot of five, the spell's alive.
By knot of six, this spell I fix.
By knot of seven, this I leaven.
By knot of eight, not long to wait.
By knot of nine, what's done is mine (thine).

Leading Up to the Event

1.

Nine days before the intended event of the spell,
untie one knot per day in the same order they were tied.
Concentrate on the intention of the spell while untying the knot.

- - -

(Prior to the sixth day, the spell may be abandoned,
in which case the cord should be destroyed by cutting it apart.
By the sixth day, enough power has been released to start having an effect,
so there is no turning back.
On the ninth day, the spell is fully engaged and
the intention will begin to manifest.)
