Summer Solstice
~21 June

Items needed:
Bell
Sabbat candle
Yellow candle
Incense:
Calendula, dandelion, lavender, and rose
Libations:
Fresh fruits
Lemonade

1.

Standing before the altar, ring the bell three times.

The southern sentinels sing
as the midday of summer arrives.
Blessed be this sabbat of Litha.

2.

Light the sabbat candle.

The longest day, reaching his height,
Sky descends and departs this night.
Having fulfilled his heart,
Orb wishes him merry part.

3.

Light the yellow candle and hold overhead.

The pendulum swings to the peak of day,
and the light of the sun,
the heart of Father Sky,
shines brightly over us
and fills us with playful joy.

Set the yellow candle in a holder and place on the altar.

As Mother Earth and Father Sky protect Nature,
so do we protect Earth and Sky,
for we are all part of Nature,
and we all must take part in its care.

4.

Contemplate the hopes and goals that are starting to come to fruition.

5.

Present the incense.

We offer this incense
to reflect the energies of the brightest day.

Present the libations.

We share this food and drink
that strengthens us for the work of the coming season.

Give the incense and libations to Nature.
