Consecration of an Object
Magickal tools and other objects should be cleansed and consecrated before use. Doing so makes the item suitable for use in spells and rituals by eliminating unnecessary energies and influences while also defining the allegiance of the item.
Items needed:
Object to be consecrated
Consecrated water
Four elements
1.
Imbue the object with the power of consecrated water.
This object of magick,
we cleanse you,
exorcising all unnecessary energies, seen and unseen,
and removing the influences of all previous holders.
2.
Imbue the object with the essence of Earth.
By power of physical Earth,
may you be instilled with endurance and strength.
Imbue the object with the essence of Air.
By power of intellectual Air,
may you be instilled with insight and wisdom.
Imbue the object with the essence of Fire.
By power of spiritual Fire,
may you be instilled with passion and courage.
Imbue the object with the essence of Water.
By power of emotional Water,
may you be instilled with serenity and purity.
3.
Hold or cover the object with your hands.
Direct personal energy into the object.
This object of magick,
we empower you.
May you be true to us and aid in our workings.
As we will it, so mote it be.
